“All teams got stronger with the signings they made and Villa is one of these. Other teams improved massively, so we have to improve so we can be in a similar position.
“We have no idea who Frank will lineup, they have so many different options. We don’t know a lot about Aston Villa at the moment, so we focus on ourselves.
“It’s not to do with last year’s position, it’s just other teams will improve so you have to make big steps”.

Liverpool injury updates
Sadio Mane and the newcomer Thiago Alcantara will both miss out after being tested positive with the coronavirus. Also on the sideline, there are Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kostas Tsimikas, and the Capitano Jordan Henderson.
Jurgen Klopp said about Jordan Henderson injury: “Hendo will be part of parts of the training today. So he will start with us warming up and maybe some passing.
“He has absolutely no issues, it’s all fine he’s not injured anymore and now we need to make sure that he can make the next step”.
