Jurgen Klopp said to the media ahead of Liverpool’s match against FC Midtjylland:
“Last week was not the best week of our lives, it started with a really good game with some things we didn’t like and which don’t help,” he told reporters ahead of the Champions League clash.
“Then it’s about showing a reaction because you can influence the response you show. I liked the response, the boys were ready to work hard, show real resilience, fighting for a result, all these things which are important.

“Yesterday I saw plenty of games and summaries and now I’m in the picture.
“The Atalanta game did not look like a 4-0, the possession [was] pretty level, they are [tactically] flexible as well so it’s a challenge and we have to be ready.”

“It’s bad not being involved. The worst thing for a player. It’s part of the job, injuries. We try to avoid them and prevent them but sometimes they happen. It was a long 3 weeks, like 3 months. It’s always hard because you want to help.
“[No fans] will never be the same. We miss them a lot on European nights at Anfield. We will miss that atmosphere. Were in PL, so now for the CL the same. We feel their energy from their own homes.
